Foreword

This interactive educational resource has been produced
for employed carers of people living with Younger Onset
Dementia. The development of the resource has been
made possible thanks to the generosity of The Lovell
Foundation and The Trevor Mast Research Scholarship - to
develop an educational resource for staff who work in
residential care facilities, respite centres and the
community, supporting those with Younger Onset
Dementia and their families.

The project is a partnership between The Lovell
Foundation, Edith Cowan University, Mercy Aged and
Community Care Ltd and The Bethanie Group.

On completion of this education, you will have a deeper
understanding of how to support someone who is living
with dementia, diagnosed under age 65, who lives at home
in the community, or attending community-based support
services or living in a residential supported care
environment. The goal of this resource is for you to be able
to enhance wellbeing for those living with Younger Onset
Dementia and their families and support the philosophy of
‘living’ well with dementia.
